Bad Owl Presents hosted some of Holy Roar Records‘ finest selection and a myriad of local UK favourites at Louder than God Festival at Temple of Boom in Leeds. An all-dayer in one of Leeds’ best underground venues, Louder than God put on a showcase of all things heavy, ranging from the classic punchy riffs and thick breakdowns of Haast’s Eagled, the tender yet crashing crescendos of Pijn, the rage-fuelled discordant punk of Helpless, We Never Learned to Live‘s heart-felt and chorus-driven take on post-hardcore, the pure embodiment of Dillinger-esque chaos that is Ithaca, the hook-heavy and crowd-surfer-inspiring tunes from Palm Reader, and finally the prog-infused Sabbath-honouring post/doom of OHHMS.
