Beautiful Bedlam Gearing up for New Album release

Melbourne prog-metal outfit Beautiful Bedlam are building momentum in preparation for new music in 2025. Focusing on chaos, calamity, comfort, and cool calmness, the newest project from Luke and Scott Ancell will no doubt have you listening and jamming along to their oddly satisfying grooves.

Resurrected from their notable previous project, A Lonely Crowd, their self-titled first album released in 2021 featured a range of guest vocalists, musicians, and friends from the Melbourne scene. Since then, they’ve recruited James Van Strien on bass and Benjamin Wylie on vocals to match the energy of brothers Scott on drums and Luke on the guitar. They’ve forged a sound of their second record that boasts even more experimentation whilst further refining their signature sound.

In anticipation of their second full-length, they’ve released the EP Live at the Band Booth coupled with some live videos of the sessions. All videos are now live, which you can view below:

To back up all this new music on the horizon they’re also playing a slew of shows around Melbourne in the coming months. Make sure to catch them at the below gigs:

  • 31st Aug – Double headliner at Nighthawks with Sun & Stone, tickets here
  • 9th Nov – at The Penny Black
  • 31st Jan – at the Bergy Bandroom
